Estonia

In Estonia, a Personal identification code (Estonian: isikukood (IK)) is defined as a number formed on the basis of the sex and date of birth of a person which allows the specific identification of the person and extensively used by government and other systems where identification is required, as well as by digital signatures using the nation ID-card and its associated certificates. An Estonian Personal identification code consists of 11 digits, generally given without any whitespace or other delimiters. The form is GYYMMDDSSSC, where G shows sex and century of birth (odd number male, even number female, 1-2 19th century, 3-4 20th century, 5-6 21st century), SSS is a serial number separating persons born on the same date and C a checksum.

The concept of century was not clearly defined in the relevant standard during 2000, causing some people born during that year to have a 20th century prefix and others a 21st century prefix in their identification code.

Latvia

In Latvia Personal code (Latvian: Personas kods) consists of 11 digits in form DDMMYY-XXXXX where the first six digits are person's date of birth, the next one stands for a century person was born in (0 for XIX, 1 for XX and 2 for XXI) and the last four are randomly generated to ensure that no two codes match.

Lithuania

In Lithuania Personal code (Lithuanian: Asmens kodas), like in Estonia, consists of 11 digits in the form GYYMMDDNNNC, where G is gender and century, YMD is the birthday, NNN is birth serial number in that day, and C is checksum digit.

The first number shows both the person's gender, and the first two digits of the birth year - odd for males, even for females. It is calculated by taking the first two digits of the year (for example, 19 for 1982), subtracting 16, and (if the person is female) adding 1. Similarly, the year can be calculated by adding 16 and (for even - female - numbers) subtracting 1.

Asmens kodas - unikali simbolių (dažniausiai skaitmenų) seka, žyminti asmenį.

Lietuvoje asmens kodas yra unikali vienuolikos dešimtainių skaitmenų seka, žyminti asmenį ir naudojama duomenims apie jį kaupti valstybės tvarkomose duomenų bazėse. Asmens kodas įrašomas į asmens dokumentus (pvz., pasą).

Asmens kodas susideda iš 11 skaitmenų, pvz.: 33309240064:

  • pirmasis rodo gimimo šimtmetį ir asmens lytį (1 - XIX a. gimęs vyras, 2 - XIX a. gimusi moteris, 3 – XX a. gimęs vyras, 4 – XX a. gimusi moteris, 5 - XXI a. gimęs vyras, 6 - XXI a. gimusi moteris)
  • tolesni šeši – asmens gimimo metų du paskutiniai skaitmenys, mėnuo (du skaitmenys), diena (du skaitmenys);
  • dar tolesni trys skaitmenys - tą dieną gimusių asmenų eilės numeris
  • paskutinis – iš kitų skaitmenų išvedamas kontrolinis skaičius.
